Voltage Regulator/ Rectifier Units
For bikes with electromagnet alternators
Since COVID and the economic turndown, I've been working on my own here and I've had to make all the parts on this page special order items. Most of the time I will have to make these units to order but I try to keep a few on hand.  Send me an eMail and let me know what you need and if you can wait for it...

About OMP

All VRREM units are undergoing redesign.  The VRREM3 and VRREM4, will not look any different but will cost less.  I'm reevaluating the production process to shave all I can off the price.  We are all hurting in this economy, and I'm doing what I can to keep costs down without sacrificing quality.
All of our VRR4EMH series regulator / rectifier units are the same other than the length of wire, plugs and what ships with them.
Regulator/Rectifier unit for the
1979~1984 DOHC CB750 through
1100cc Honda fours

$?
VRREM4H1
Regulator/Rectifier unit for the
SOHC Honda CB650  four.

(Will not mount up to the DOHC models, not even close but if custom mounted it will funtion better than the OEM unit.)

$?
VRREM4H2
The VRREM4-SOHC  for  1969~1978 SOHC Honda fours.
This unit comes with the connectors and mounting hardware to install it on your bike.  This is the easiest options for full on custom bikes that use a minimal or custom wiring harness.   There are 5 wires that connect to the alternator side of the engine leaving only 3 to connect to the harness.

For bikes that still use the original wiring harness, see the VRREM7H lower on this page.

This unit comes with 2 repair harnesses to splice it into the wiring on your bike and a packet of splicing supplies.  All the terminals to populate the plugs for the harness in case you don't need the extra length of the harness sections.  Also included are 6' each of 14 gage primary wire for the back bone wiring of the bike (red with a white stripe for + and dark green for ground.)

VRREM4-SOHC
DOHC Honda CB550 Nighthawk

Because of the problems with the original with stator/ field coil assembly,  I highly recommend testing the stator and field coil or installing the updated stator unit from Honda before ordering one of my regulator/rectifier units...

VRREM3XJ for the XJ1100

$?

Can also be used on the 750 Seca
VRREM3-RD400.
Requires custom mounting but plugs right into the harness.

$?

For the early model Kawasaki KZ750 twins.  This part comes with matching wiring colors and connectors for the early model KZ750 twins.

$?

No pix yet but looks very much like the VRREM3 above other than wire colors. Requires custom mounting...
VRREMX
With verssions for Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki

The VRREM7 was designed for bikes that originally had the rectifier and voltage regulator as separate units
The VRREM7 Is now discontinued and will be replaced with the VRREMX.  I have units in beta test and I hope to offer them here soon.

Like the previouse unit, it will be available for several bikes and except were original wiring harness take a connetor that is no longer avaible, plug right in.  Also all wire colors match the original parts.

This unit will
require custom mounting and is ideal for custom bikes that no longer have the original regulator and rectifier mounts but still use the original wiring harness.
VRREM7H For 1969 to 1978 350cc~750cc in-line fours.

This unit requires a new plug be installed on the voltage regulator wires on the harness. The new plug and mounting hardware are included. The leads are extra long giving you plenty of options as to where to mount it.

VRREM7KZ for the early KZ400 twin and KZ650 four.

(See the VRREM3-KZ75T for the KZ750 twin.) Ask me if you're not sure if your bike is an early or late model...

The later series KZ have a permanent magnet alternator . See the VRRPM2-KZc for these bikes. This unit requires a new plug be installed on the voltage regulator wires on the harness. The new plug and mounting hardware are included. The leads are extra long giving you plenty of options as to where to mount it.

$?
VRREM7YRD for Yamaha 2-stroke twins DS7, R5, RD250 and RD350.

Because of customer demand this unit now comes with micro plugs like Yamaha used on the original regulator and rectifier. We still supply new plugs for the harness and highly recommend that you install them as well as replacing the plug from the alternator.  It is still avaible with the larger plugs like use on the RD400 and XS series Yamahas at no extra cost.

The leads are the same length as the original regulator and rectifier leads and the unit fits nicely into the place where the original regulator mounted.

$?
VRREM7XS for Yamaha 650 twins that originally came with a separate regulator and rectifier

This unit requires a plugs into the original regulator and rectifier connectors on the wiring harness but requires custom mounting. The leads are extra long giving you plenty of options as to where to mount it. Mounting hardwear and new connectors for the wiring hareness are included.
